Last Friday 1st November Breckland Business Forum members headed to Breckland Lodge for their last quarterly breakfast for 2019 – exactly a year to the day since Breckland Lodge reopened following the terrible fire it suffered early on in 2018.
Attendees enjoyed a buffet breakfast following networking over tea and coffee, kindly put on by Colin Kilby and his team. Clarke Willis MBE of Swallow Barns opened the meeting and introduced Leader of the Council Sam Chapman-Allen as the first speaker, who discussed his vision for Breckland moving forward and council activities to drive the district. Sam was followed by Stacey Wightman, Head of People Experience at Centurion Safety Products – a Thetford based manufacturer, who delivered a thought provoking presentation on a HR forum that has been set up in Thetford for businesses looking to share knowledge and resources on HR related matters. Clarke ended the speaker session with an update to members on the Food Enterprise Park. Clarke then closed the event by inviting new members to stand up and introduce themselves and their businesses to the rest of the forum, these included Keith Mindham Photography, Cleanright and Example Marketing.
Members look forward to the next meeting which shall be taking place in February 2020. To find out more about attending the breakfasts and membership, please call Diane on 01603 702374 or find out more here
