Santa Ride 2019

Date: Sunday 8th December 2019

Location: Starting from Acle Recreation Centre

We are very excited about the Santa Ride 2019, which is a cycle ride organised once again in conjunction with Norfolk Cycling Events who have put on several successful Sportives throughout the Summer. We hope everybody will get into the spirit of this charity ride and dress up in their finest Santa suits and Christmas jumpers! There will be three routes, including a family friendly 10 mile route. The family route has been designed to have low traffic, not too many hills and also be rewarding. Best of all everybody gets a medal to show off to their friends.

This is very much a family friendly event so if your family doesn’t ride they can come along and enjoy the BBQ, bar and playground area. Norfolk Cycling Events will be selling fresh coffee, tea and homemade cakes. All profit from this event will support Break to build brighter tomorrows for young people and families across East Anglia.

We do also have a limited number of FREE to ride places if you pledge to raise £50 for Break. If you chose to ride for Break you will get a Break Charity Rider number and free Santa Suit. For more information please contact events@break-charity.org.

The Snowflake Extravaganza

Date: Monday 16th December 2019

Location: The Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Norwich

A festive evening full of lovely local goodies, carol singing and everything that makes Christmas feel so magical.

On arrival you will be greeted by Santa’s Little Helpers, the amazing smells of mulled wine and mince pies will fill the air as you enter the beautiful Cathedral of St John the Baptist in Norwich, which will be decorated with a flurry of magical snowflakes.

Inside we will have a fantastic Christmas Market where you can pick up some lovely stocking fillers and last minute Christmas gifts, followed by the chance to sing some of the well-loved Christmas Carols and songs in our Carol Concert in the main Cathedral, where we will have the wonderful Taverham Brass Band and Southrepps Chorale performing.

If that isn’t enough to get you feeling festive we will also have some Christmas activity tables for children where they can create a magical Christmas keepsake and a special Christmas activity sheet will be available to keep children entertained during the concert.

If you love Christmas time and are looking for a family friendly, festive event then please do join us. Donations raised from this event will be helping to change young lives locally by supporting the work of Break. Together we can make a difference.
