Being part of the community is incredibly important for the Charles Burrell Centre and to reflect this, we are starting to host community lunches from November. These will be held every fortnight and are open to all, we will offer them completely free of charge (people are able to make a donation if they chose to, but there is absolutely no pressure to do so).
The past eighteen months have been extremely difficult for many, especially if they have been forced to self-isolate as a result of being in the most vulnerable group. This has ultimately left some with increased feelings of anxiety, isolation and loneliness; therefore, the chance to get out, meet and chat with others over a hot, two course lunch will be hugely beneficial to many members of the local community.
If you or your company, would like to get involved with our community lunches, we’d love you to support us. You can do this by either financially sponsoring a meal or by coming along on the day and helping with prepping, cooking and serving. Any support you can offer, will be appreciated greatly.
