In a private dining area tucked away in a secret garden at the Thetford Garden Centre, guests can now enjoy afternoon tea with friends and family at Isabella’s tearoom.
By appointment only the tearoom sits in a secluded landscaped area overlooking the fields, wooded area and adjacent stream belonging to the Kilverstone estate.
Isabella’s tearoom is named after the mother of Jean and grandmother of Lucy Nixon, owners of Thetford Garden Centre. Isabella worked in the kitchens of Scottish Castles before moving to Norfolk where she became a champion baker, winning many prizes at local shows. With a passion for food and creating wonderful bakes from her own recipes the current generation will be presenting an exceptional table of delectable cakes and delicious sandwiches inspired by Isabella’s work.
Celebrating three generations of ladies in the family and recognising the special relationship between mothers and daughters. The tearoom is the perfect place for mums, daughter and granddaughters to enjoy time together and for sons and husbands to treat the ladies in their lives too.
The private dining experience is in a cosy dining room setting, which holds up to 6 people and the special afternoon tea set menu includes delicious homemade sandwiches and cakes. A bottle of Prosecco is included in the price and special dietary requirements can be catered for. Background music of choice can be played during the session.
Perfect for those special occasions as well as for those wanting a safe place to entertain with social spacing in mind. Isabella’s sits in its own little garden and is limited to just three sessions a day. Ensuring staff have time to set up a safe environment between sittings and the scene is set for the most splendid of afternoon tea experiences.
Opening Monday 5th October. Bookings can be made by telephoning 01842 763267. Visit www.limekilnkitchen.co.uk for more information. Isabella’s tearoom gift vouchers are also available.
