Final push for Price Bailey’s charity partnership with Action Medical Research

Price Bailey Chartered Accountants chose Action Medical research as their charity back in April 2018. Since then, the 400 strong team have been focused on doing as much as they can to support the charity. This has consisted of charity collections at Newmarket Racecourse, charity fundraising days for the entire firm, the 3 peaks challenge, a bike ride from London to Paris and many other activities.

With just three months left of their partnership with Action Medical Research, the firm are hoping to break £100,000 with a team of 14 completing a sky dive from 10,000ft. In addition, the whole of the firm will also be holding a charity fundraising day, consisting of car washes, games and raffles, all geared to raise as much money for the charity as possible.

The money raised will go towards Action Medical Research’s ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign which is focused on funding research and developing treatments into premature birth and other pregnancy complications. According to Action Medical Research, around 60,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK, and sadly 1,000 tragically die making it the most significant cause of death in babies; for those that do survive, it’s also the leading cause of disability.

James King, Corporate Social Responsibility Partner at Price Bailey said: “We are very grateful to everyone for their generosity and we are proud of the whole team’s fundraising effort. The research that we help Action to fund for their ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign is valuable in improving the futures of premature babies and is a very worthy cause.”

Lyndsay Wood, Action Medical Research’s Community Fundraising Manager added: “Action Medical Research are thrilled to hear that Price Bailey have raised such a fantastic sum of money already. We really are so grateful for their dedication in raising these funds for our ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign and helping us raise awareness of premature birth. Thank you to the generous individuals who have donated to the cause.”
