Ashtons Legal are proud to be supporting local charity, Steelbones, at their first Inclusive Sports Day taking place at:
East Anglia Squash and Tennis Club in Norwich on Sunday 28 April 2019, 12 to 4pm.
Steelbones is a voluntary charity who work with the amputee community. The charity provide an extensive support network to those who have lost limbs by sharing latest news on stump health, promote healthy and active lifestyles, signpost useful services, therapists, personal trainers, sports clubs and provide flexible career opportunities through partners and associates. Ashtons Legal became one of their Business Partners in 2018.
At the open day, the first of its kind in Norfolk, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a number of different sports including tennis, table tennis, rowing and boccia (the ball sport). A poster publicising the event is attached for your information.
There has been a lot of interest in the event thus far and to assist the charity going forwards to reach those who have had an amputation, we are asking the local media to get involved, mentioning the event in advance and covering the event on the day. If required, we could arrange interviews with someone from Steelbones, a volunteer and some of the attendees. If this is a story you can cover, please contact me at Ashtons, or Paul Clark at Steelbones – firstname.lastname@example.org.
