Willow Property Services steps out again for charity

Following on from our walk last year, John and I  are taking on another challenge to raise funds for The Sick Children’s Trust houses, Acorn and Chestnut, at Addenbrookes Hospital.,

We will walk the Fen Rivers Way which runs for nearly 50 miles between King’s Lynn and Cambridge, tracing the path of rivers Great Ouse & Cam. We set off bright and early tomorrow, rest day Thursday arriving at Acorn House on Friday 22nd April. Any contributions would be gratefully accepted.

Acorn House and Chestnut House provide ‘a home from home’ where parents and siblings can stay when a child in the family is seriously ill and receiving treatment at Addenbrooke’s.  Acorn House is situated within the hospital grounds, a short walk away from the wards. Around 750 families use Acorn House every year and they can stay free-of-charge for as long as they need.  It is staffed seven days a week and is funded entirely by voluntary donations.
